Status of employees is threatened.
Trade unions have the biggest task right now than they've ever had - to secure the benefits they have achieved. The political outlook in Finland is to undermine employees' received rights. Unemployment benefits, protection against dismissal, increments, compensations, local agreements, strike rights and the validity of collective agreements are all in danger of being reduced. The heaviest consequences will fall on the people that are already in an under privileged position in the low income class.
We cannot give up - we have to retain our position in negotiation.

Candidate profile
I have signed up as a candidate for the Tehy Council because:
- I want to effect the future of professionals in social care and health care
- I want to hold on to the benefits and rights we have already achieved
- I want to secure the trusteeship of social and health care employees
- I want to keep our position in the negotiating tables
I am a 35 years old registered nurse who has a Master's degree of Health Care (development and leadership). I work at the private social care industry as a Unit Manager at housing services for people who have mental health issues, substance abuse or are homeless. I am a board member of Tehy's mental health and substance abuse work division and Tehy's leaders division.
In the Tehy Council I will work for:
- Better salaries and resources
- Better management and working abilities
- Better vitality and membership benefits
By giving your vote to me, you will get a council member
- who is an active civil-influencer, productive changemaker, brave equality contributor and government knowing, empolyee defending, service-enlightening leader.
- who has a loud and clear voice, the right attitude and massive energy to fight for social and health care professionals.
